Dhammapada – Pushpa Wagga

යථා පි රුචිරං පුප්ඵං

වණ්ණවන්තං අගන්ධකං

ඒවං සුභාසිතා වාචා

අඵලා හොති අකුබ්බතො

Meaning: As a flower that is lovely and beautiful but without fragrance, even so is the well-spoken word fruitless if not practiced.

Waikato Compassion Meditation Centre

Hamilton’s Waikato Compassion Meditation Centre (WCMC) is a Theravāda Buddhist vihāra established in the Sri Lankan tradition. While supported by the Sri Lankan community, it warmly welcomes everyone across the Waikato.

Founded in 2002 in Chartwell and relocated to Silverdale in 2006, the Centre offers space for meditation, Dhamma teachings, and community gatherings.

Maha Karuna Dhamma & Language School

  • Maha Karuna Dhamma & Language School offers a nurturing environment where children can develop wisdom, compassion, and cultural pride. Guided by the teachings of the Buddha, we support young learners in understanding the true values of kindness, mindfulness, and gratitude — foundations that empower them throughout life.

Together, let’s guide our children to learn, practice, and shine — with love, joy, and Maha Karuna (Great Compassion).

K'aute Pasifika Hall will be available for setting up on Saturday, 25th October from 3.00 pm to 9.00 pm. Please be kind enough to come and help us to arrange the hall on 25th October.

This is the annual Vandana and Sil program for our Digana temple in Sri Lanka.

The temple is looking for someone who would like to offer breakfast and lunch Danaya for the Sil program.

It is certainly a great Pinkama and would be a huge support to our Digana temple.

Please contact Digana temple or 021 2592747
